I started with this blog with the hope of raising awareness of mental health issues in the UK, to share my experiences and to show people that depression and anxiety manifest themselves in such a wide varieties of ways.

Having said this, I often wonder whether raising awareness about depression and mental health issues is futile, whether any of us really have an impact on the opinions of today’s society; although I guess that’s a typical depressive person’s outlook isn’t it.

However, I can post a photo on social media of a brick wall and it will receive 10x more responses than a post concerning mental health (seriously). It makes me wonder whether people unfortunate enough not to suffer really care about mental health, then I receive a message from someone about how they relate to my posts and it changes things for a moment.

I guess you just have to keep the faith, keep talking and keep posting until people listen.
